Ministry Assistant for Children, Youth, and Families

Nashville, TN
Full Time
Entry Level
First Presbyterian Church of Nashville is seeking a dedicated and spiritually grounded Ministry Assistant to support our ministry to children (newborn through sixth grade), youth (seventh through twelfth grade), and their families. The position reports to two Directors (Children’s Ministry and Youth Programming) and provides vital administrative and programmatic support while also engaging directly in relational ministry.

This individual will foster a welcoming and efficient office environment, facilitate excellent communication and data systems, and assist with event planning and volunteer coordination. In addition to administrative responsibilities, the role includes opportunities to serve relationally through teaching, small group leadership, and supporting intergenerational engagement—advancing our mission: To know Christ, to make Him known, and to exhibit His love through worship, education, and service.

This hourly, full-time role will work Monday through Friday during regular Church office hours on-site and will have evening and weekend work (including Sundays) as required on an occasional basis. The compensation range is $20.00 to $24.00 per hour based on experience. Our comprehensive and competitive benefits package includes medical, dental and vision eyewear coverage, short- and long-term disability, employee life and voluntary/dependent life insurance and retirement plan.

If you possess one or more years of administrative experience in a Christian ministry, have a heart for service, are familiar with the Reformed tradition and have the demonstrated ability to integrate your faith into day-to-day work, we invite you to apply for this important role.
